These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Moon-Journal app ("the app"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
The app
Moon-Journal provides moon-phase tracking, astronomical information (moonrise and moonset, seasons, meteor showers, eclipses), zodiac information, and a personal journaling and mood-tracking feature. Your journal entries are stored on your device.
Informational and entertainment use only
The astrological, zodiac, and lunar content in Moon-Journal is provided for informational and entertainment purposes only. The mood and emotion journaling features are not a medical device or a mental-health service and are not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or other advice. If you are in crisis or need help, please contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services.
License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.
Subscriptions, free trials, and billing
A monthly or annual subscription is required to use Moon-Journal. Eligible subscribers may receive a free trial. The selected price, billing period, trial eligibility and renewal terms are shown before purchase and may vary by store and region.
- Purchases are billed through your Apple App Store or Google Play account, depending on where you subscribe.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled under the purchasing store's terms. If you do not want a trial or subscription to renew, cancel before its renewal deadline. For Apple free trials, Apple advises cancelling at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in the App Store or Google Play subscription settings for the account used to subscribe.
- Deleting the app or its data does not cancel billing. Refunds and any remaining access after cancellation are governed by the purchasing store's terms and applicable law.
- Restore purchases uses the original purchasing store and its account.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the app, including by attempting to reverse engineer, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the app or its backend services, or to use the app in violation of any applicable law.
Your content
You retain ownership of the journal entries you create. Because entries are stored locally on your device, you are responsible for them, including any backups. We do not access your journal content.
Disclaimers
The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Astronomical times and predictions are approximate and may vary; we do not warrant that the content is accurate, error-free, or uninterrupted.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the app or its services if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it from your device.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Your continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
